A computer science engineer, Gianmaria Silvello is associate professor at Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padua. His research spans knowledge management, intelligent information systems, information access, algorithmic fairness, digital libraries and data provenance and citation.
He has published 200+ scientific papers in national and international venues.
He has been appointed member of the International Advisory Panel (IAP) of the Danish Data Science Academy (February 2022 - September 2024).
He is member of the editorial board of Information Processing & Management.
He is associate editor of IEEE Access.
He is member of the editorial board of Frontiers in Research Metrics and Analytics (Scholarly Communication).
He is member of the editorial advisory board of Digital Library Perspectives.
