PhD vacancy: “QSI - Quantum Safe Internet”

One Doctoral candidate(DC)/PhD vacancy is available at the University of Padova (Italy) for highly motivated doctoral candidate as part of the new Horizon Europe, EU-funded, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks “QSI - Quantum Safe Internet” project (GA # 101072637).

The research topic of the position is the following:

-Project DC #8: Intermodal Quantum Communications in Free-Space and Fibre

Objectives: Experimental study and modelling of intermodal quantum communications, aiming at bridging free-space and fibre links.

At University of Padova the research/training of the successful candidate will be carried out within the Department of Information Engineering, under the guidance of Professors Paolo Villoresi and Giuseppe Vallone. Other supervisors will join during the secondment periods.

The DC is expected to join the University of Padova starting from Fall 2022 (estimated).
