POSITION TITLE:              Electronic Engineer (Software development)                   
REPORTS TO:              Electronic Team Leader
LOCATION:                               Breganze, IT      

I.    POSITION PURPOSE:
Serve as an embedded systems engineer for agricultural vehicle electronic
systems, providing embedded software solutions based on C and C++ code to
ensure superior performance, durability, reliability and quality.
This activity includes developing vehicle functional requirements and
developing the overall vehicle electronic systems architecture

II.    MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:      KEY MEASUREMENT:                 
•    Develops and maintains software applications and GUI application based on
C and C++ code     •    SW efficacy and reliability evaluation
•    evaluation of the percentage of SW developed in-house VS offshore
•    Specify system requirements for external software or hardware
suppliers    •    achieving the targets committed to the supplier
•    Prepares technical/functional specifications from system requirements
documents and work with various groups to define interfaces and software
requirements    •    evaluation in term of quality/accuracy of the released
documentation
•    Validate the integration of internal and external supplier’s software
modules into the electronic platform    •    SW efficacy and reliability
evaluation
•    Work closely with the other engineering teams for the design and the
research of optimal solutions during the development of a product
    •    achieving the common Engineering Dpt. targets
•    “customers” feedback
•    Assist testers engineers or other department (eg. production) with
problem analysis and resolutions    •    number of “bugs” reported and
“bugs” solved
                 
III.    FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
•    Experience with developing real-time embedded machine control software
using C and C++.
•    Experience with Object Oriented software development.
•    Experience with defining software and hardware interfaces.
•    In depth knowledge of J1939 and ISO11783 CAN communications
•    SQL database development and interfaces

IV.    BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
•    General knowledge about AGCO product
•    Working knowledge about agriculture (desirable harvesting) machinery or
relevant experience in the automotive sector
•    Understanding of AGCO business and objectives

V.    PROBLEM SOLVING:
•    Excellent analysis skills to identify the root causes and to react in a
short time following the defined procedures
•    Ability to address and resolve issues in an objective, fact-based,
professional fashion

VI.    NATURE OF IMPACT
•    Provides advice to the Team leader on problem solution and actions they
need to be taken
•    The role provides input into the design processes made by the electronic
team

VII.    AREA OF IMPACT:
•    The role will have a direct impact on:
•    the engineering teams results
•    the functionality and reliability of the electronic contents of the
combine
•    It secondly impacts on the Purchasing, Production and Service departments
activity

VIII.    INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
•    Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills which enables you to work
harmoniously in team
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey requirements,
root cause analysis
•    Motivated self-starter who can relate well to a diverse multidiscipline
development team
    
IX.    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
•    Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer
Science
•    2 years of experience in embedded systems software development
•    Desirable a previous experience in development of vehicle/automotive
control systems or agricultural equipment
•    Good English skills
