Bio
A computer science engineer, Ornella Irrera is Ph.D student at Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padua. Her research spans Data Citation and Publishing, Data Search, Relation Extraction for the Scholarly Communication.
She took the Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineer, and the Master Degree in Computer Science Engineering at the University of Padua. Her Master Thesis concerned the application of Learning to Rank models trained on both text-based and entity-based features in the context of the Background Linking task. From 2020 to 2021 She worked as a research fellow for the ExaMode Project as a member of the IMS Research Group at the Deparment of Information Engineering at the uNiversity of Padua. Since 2021 She is a Ph.D. Student at the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Padua under the supervision of Gianmaria Silvello and Paolo Manghi. Her Project focuses on Data Search, Citation, an Linking on scholarly knowledge graphs.
