Annamaria Guiotto got her Master Degree in Bioengineering -University of Padua in 2008 (SIAMOC best thesis award in 2019) and the PhD in 2013 at the PhD school on Information Engineering, section Bioengineering, at the same university.

Before attending the PhD school, she had 2 years of experience in the gait and postural analysis research at the Biomov Lab, DEI, University of Padua. During the PhD she has been visiting student for 6 months at the Centre for Health, Sport Rehabilitation Sciences Research, University of Salford, under the supervision of prof. CJ Nester.

Her research activity regards mainly the clinical movement analysis of diabetic subjects and the biomechanical modeling of the foot. She is first author and coauthor of several papers and abstracts published in peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings (Google scholar: 623 citations, h-index 10).

Since 2010 she has been supervisor and co-supervisor of more than 30 thesis in Biomedical Engineering and in Kinesiology (both master and bachelor degree). She has teached for the Bachelor degree in Kinesiology (adjunct professor in 2019, and assistant professor in 2017 and 2018) and for the Master degree in Bioengineering (adjunct professor in 2020, assistant professor in 2021).

She takes part as a co-author of a patent for industrial invention (2017 - Metodo ed apparato per rilevare parametri biomeccanici e funzionali del ginocchio). She is co-founder (2017) of BBSoF s.r.l, a start up of Padova University.

She is member of ISB, of ESB and its Italian chapter, of ESMAC, of iFAB, of the Italian Society of Gait Analysis in Clinic (SIAMOC), and she has been in the Organizing Committee of the Conference of same society for the 2015 edition in Padova and in the organizing and scientific committee of SIAMOC2021 online conference. From 2015 to 2018, she has been the elected Junior Fellows representative of the InterUniversitary Center BOHNES.

She is currently a board member of SIAMOC (elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2021).
