My main research interests concern semantic data integration methodologies applied to the realm of biomedical data, employing ontologies as a means to access diverse data models.
My research activities are strictly related to the HEREDITARY project, where these methodologies are relevant. More info here.
Parallel to this, always in the context of the HEREDITARY project, i pursue interest on innovative Federated Execution Methods..
Other research contributions are within the fields of "Information Retrieval Longitudinal Evaluation" and "Geographic Information Systems".

The Dremio-Polypheny ARP Driver is available in the GitHub Repository. README.md contains all the instruction to inject the driver in a (running) Dremio instance.
I presented in presence at CLEF 2023 Conference (Thessaloniki, GR): clef2023.clef-initiative.eu
I presented in presence at AGILE 2024 Conference (Glasgow, UK): agile-gi.eu/conference-2024
I participated at the HEREDITARY Kick-Off Meeting held on Jan 26-27 2024 in UNIPD (Padova, IT).
I participated at the HEREDITARY Federated Learning and Analytics Workshop held on May 15-17 2024 in HESSO Valais (Sierre, CH).
HEREDITARY is an EU-funded project (Grant Agreement 101137074) as part of the broader Horizon Europe programme.
HEREDITARY aims to improve disease detection, treatment response preparation, and medical knowledge exploration through an integrated framework that incorporates diverse health data, including genetics, while ensuring privacy compliance.
Role: I collaborate in the activities of the WP3, specifically on the design and development of a polystore system that serves as a Federated Analytics platform.
